Strengthening your Operators in Arknights Endfield requires more than just leveling them up and giving them better weapons. They also need to equip various pieces of gear, which further boost their stats. This system is similar to typical gear in other gacha games, but with key differences, the first of which is the acquisition method. Instead of farming items, players will need Gear Templates, which are closely tied to Endfield’s factory management system.
Where to get equipment templates in Arknights Endfield
Early in the game, players will gradually unlock various basic gear templates simply by increasing their Authority Level (though some templates will need to be found or purchased later). New templates are unlocked naturally as you progress, meaning the best gear will only become available at a certain point in the story.
Gear templates are essentially recipes for crafting all the gear your Operators can use . You can craft an item by entering AIC mode and selecting “Gear Assembly” in the lower right corner of the screen.
Equipment rarity
Equipment comes in four rarity levels:
- Gray/Green
- Blue
- Violet
- Gold
All items increase Operators’ base stats and attributes, with higher rarity items providing greater bonuses. Gear Sets also exist, providing unique set bonuses. These significantly enhance your Operators’ abilities, and much of Endfield build creation revolves around finding the right sets for your characters.
Item stats are fixed . You won’t have to worry about finding an item with perfect random stats, but if you want to mini-max your gear, the “Artificing” option will unlock after sufficient story progress.
Equipment crafting
All equipment can be crafted through the “Equipment Crafting” menu . However, the resources needed to craft new equipment can only be obtained through the Automated Industrial Complex (AIC, your base factory).
Crafting items of different levels requires different types of resources, meaning you should always keep an eye on what your AIC is producing. When you discover a new type of resource, try to add it to your supply chain. You’ll need as many resources as possible to upgrade items.
