The AIC Core Zone is the central area in Arknights: Endfield , where the player (Endmin) builds basic factory stations and distributes electricity. Its size is initially limited, but can be expanded.
Here’s how to expand your AIC core area to get more space for your base.
How to Increase AIC Core Area in Arknights: Endfield
To expand the AIC core zone, you must first complete the “AIC Overseer” quest . Afterward, an AIC Overseer NPC will appear on the southeastern side of your zone.
Talk to him to open the upgrade menu. Two options are available: expanding the area and building a Depot Bus. Keep in mind that you can’t build a Depot Bus without expanding the area accordingly , so these upgrades are interconnected.

The AIC Overseer quest in Arknights: Endfield
As you progress through the main story and develop the factory, the quest “AIC Overseer” will appear in your quest list .
To start it, open the messages from Baker, go to the Tasks tab and find a letter from Communications Officer Fiona, in which she talks about the AIC Overseer developed by the Endfield Research Center.
Read it to activate the quest, which only requires you to talk to the AIC Overseer and learn about a way to expand the base.
Depot Bus in Arknights: Endfield
After meeting the AIC Overseer, you’ll unlock the “Depot Bus” node in the “Energy” section of the AIC Factory Layout page. This will unlock the Depot Loader and Depot Unloader .
Both of these buildings must be adjacent to the Depot Bus . The Depot Loader will place the dispatched item into the storage facility, and the Depot Unloader will retrieve the assigned item from the storage facility.
Essentially, they act as alternative routes for receiving and storing items. Instead of focusing all buildings around a central tower, Endmin can now use the Depot Bus.
