Total Chaos is an atmospheric project that blends elements of survival horror from various eras. The game features classic resource management techniques, methodical hand-to-hand combat and gunplay, vibrant visuals, and grotesque environments and creatures.
Initially, the developer created a mod for DOOM II, but over time, the project evolved into a completely standalone game. Developer Sam Prebble used his video game ( Turbo Overkill ) and Hollywood (Avatar, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Rise of the Planet of the Apes) visual effects to create a full-scale horror experience.
The game is now available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 , and PC, including Game Pass. Total Chaos will receive VR support in 2026.
