Metacritic, aggregator site, has released a list of the worst games of 2025, ranking them based on the average rating of each title (the list includes games with four or more reviews from critics). The top ten games include:

- Scar-Lead Salvation – 44 points
- QUByte Classics: Glover – 44 points
- Ambulance Life: A Paramedic Simulator – 44 points
- Tamagotchi Plaza – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition – 43 points
- Gore Doctor – 40 points
- Spy Drops – 39 points
- Blood of Mehran – 38 points
- Fire Emblem Shadows – 37 points
- MindsEye – 28 points
MindsEye, a game by Leslie Benzies, director, game designer, and producer of the Grand Theft Auto series from Grand Theft Auto III to Grand Theft Auto V, was named the worst game of 2025. The project turned out to be boring, buggy, and incoherent, not justifying its $60 price tag.
