Players can vote for the best games of the past year until December 1st, after which voting will begin for the winners in each category.
You can nominate your favorite games for The Steam Awards 2025 in the following categories:
- Game of the Year
- Virtual Reality Game of the Year
- “Beloved Child”
- “Best Game on Steam Deck”
- “A friend is known in play”
- “Outstanding visual style”
- “Most Innovative Gameplay”
- “The best game you can’t play”
- Best Soundtrack
- “Best Game with an Outstanding Story”
- “Make yourself comfortable”
You can also earn a Steam Awards Selection Committee badge and level it up to level four by completing four tasks: nominate at least one game, nominate a game in each category, play a game you nominated, and write or update a review of a game you nominated. Learn more on the Steam event page .
