The “Woolhaven” expansion for Cult of the Lamb introduces new challenging bosses. One of them is Thoas, a powerful wolf wizard and loyal servant of Marchosias. He can be encountered in the “Eufall Base” location. Defeating him will yield valuable rewards.
Tactics for fighting Toas

Thoas is a magical boss who barely moves, teleporting only occasionally. He focuses on ranged attacks, leaving little opportunity for counterattack, especially with slow weapons like an axe or mace.
His main attack is a barrage of lightning strikes from the sky. Watch for the red crosses on the ground —they indicate the location of the next strike. After the series of lightning strikes, you’ll have a small window to run up and land a few hits before rolling away. Thoas has a slow, close-range claw attack that’s easy to avoid.
Another dangerous attack is the electric cross on the ground. Thoas summons the cross several times in a row, which activates after a few seconds. This is a great opportunity to attack: you can hit the boss, and when he changes the cross’s orientation, you can roll back to a safe space.

The key to victory is a hit-and-run tactic. While Thoas is summoning lightning, he can’t melee. Run up, strike, and then immediately retreat, dodging the bolts. Another option is when he teleports. Upon appearing, Thoas usually immediately launches a melee attack. You have 1-2 seconds to strike him before he teleports again.
Watch his staff and paw: raising them upward signals an imminent attack. Simply roll to the opposite side.
