The title of the Mysteria Ecclesiae expansion literally translates as “secret of the church,” and many of the answers are predictably hidden in the crypt beneath Sedlec Monastery. Given the unenviable prospect of disturbing the dead and contracting a deadly disease, visiting this ancient tomb is an extremely dangerous undertaking. Especially when you realize that getting out is far more difficult than getting in.
How to Prepare for a Descent into Cryptocurrency
Of course, before heading into the musty catacombs, where the plague likely spread throughout the monastery, you should heed the doctors’ advice. Albikus and Zacharias will offer to make a special protective suit, the kind that has protected doctors from the plague in the past.
We described how to do this in detail in the previous guide, so we’ll just refer to it.

This quest is optional, but if you ignore it, without the Plague Mask, Henry will receive a permanent debuff that permanently reduces his health by 3 and his strength and agility by 2. It’s better to spend time crafting the Plague Mask than to suffer through the rest of the game.

The following recommendation is not mandatory, but if you want to feel more confident descending into the dark, scary crypt, it wouldn’t hurt to get a weapon, since Indro was disarmed at the entrance to the monastery.

This won’t take much of your time, and all you need to do is win three duels at the Knights’ Arena to receive a combat sword as a reward, which we also discussed in one of our previous guides.
After you’ve crafted the protective mask and spoken to all the witnesses, head to the Sedlec Monastery crypt, which can be accessed through a hole in the floor of the main cathedral.
Since the monastery will be under quarantine at that time, you will be officially prohibited from leaving the hospital grounds, so you must not be seen by the guards.

To avoid getting lost in the corridors inside this large building, we recommend taking a risk and taking the shortest route to the northern entrance.

In fact, it’s even safer, since you only need to sneak under the canopy past one guard unnoticed.

You won’t have to break through the main entrance, where there’s also a guard, because to the right of it there’s an inconspicuous staircase that leads to a window opening.

Once inside, you can climb up and down the scaffolding to that very hole, but be aware that there is a guard standing right next to the stairs.

Of course, you can try jumping down, but to avoid risking your health, we recommend saving and trying to distract the guard by throwing a rock (the G key by default). This way, you’ll be able to safely descend the stairs.

Once at the bottom, all you need to do is open the wooden door and you will find yourself in the holy of holies of the Sedlec Monastery.
How to search a cryptocurrency
Although this is a very small room, if you look carefully, you can find a lot of interesting things here.

First, you can pick up the crypt map, which is located on the first sarcophagus on the right.

Apparently it’s meant to hint at the passage in the far left corner of the room. Remember this clue.

If you didn’t follow our advice and get a weapon earlier, you can pick up a hunting cleaver behind the sarcophagus on the opposite wall.

Then go to the far end of the crypt, examine the plundered grave on the right and take the parchment from the altar.

Once you’ve read the image on the parchment, the door will slam behind you and you’ll have to quickly find a way out to become another dead person in this crypt.
How to get out of crypto

In principle, with good lockpicking skills , you can try to open a very complex lock , but there is no point in wasting lockpicks, because from the crypt plan we found, we already know that there should be an emergency exit in the far left corner.

Indeed, the wall behind the sarcophagus to the left of the altar can be dismantled by pressing the interaction key.

Now all you have to do is move forward along the tunnel until you see a hole in the wall. Climb through it using the jump key and turn right.

At the entrance to the crypt, you will find three builders who have locked you in, but if you wish, to avoid further trouble, you can quietly sneak past them to the stairs and safely return the same way to the hospital.
To avoid giving yourself away, you can also try to distract them by throwing a rock at G.

But if you want to teach your offenders a lesson, prepare for battle.
What happens if you kill the tomb raiders in the crypt?
Let’s say right away that there will be no negative consequences from killing these characters.
Before the battle, we recommend drinking schnapps to save yourself, and even better, some other strengthening potions.
There is no point in talking to them, and if you catch their eye, you will have to fight anyway.
Since I completed the DLC after finishing the game, my combat skills were already honed enough to win without much trouble, but if you haven’t yet mastered the intricacies of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II’s brutally realistic combat system , dealing with three opponents in a tight space will be difficult.
If you do manage to deal with the attackers, you’ll get a free save and be able to loot their corpses, but you won’t find anything special beyond a few dozen groats and some crappy gear, so it’s up to you to decide if it’s worth it.
To be honest, I simply didn’t find the wall with the secret passage right away and went back through the door, so I had no choice but to kill everyone.
